Summary
The Master of Management creates business leaders who are ready to take on challenging roles within contemporary organisations across a range of industry sectors.
Managers increasingly require a broad set of advanced theoretical knowledge and applied techniques in order to be able to lead organisations through periods of complexity, uncertainty and change.
The ICMS Master of Management is a postgraduate degree designed to sharpen your industry knowledge and prepare you for a leadership role. It is a modern business degree that will develop your strategic thinking and conceptual, analytic and practical skills. The course aims to provide highly developed business knowledge and skills that are the basis of responsible leadership, ethical decision-making and the effective management of organisations operating in the private, not-for-profit and public sectors.
The Master of Management will not only prepare you for leadership; it will teach you how to work effectively, apply contemporary management practices and demonstrate key management skills and attributes.

Course Structure
The Master of Management is structured to provide you with the perfect balance of theoretical coursework and practical experience.
The Master of Management consists of the following:
10 x core subjects of in-depth coursework studies
2x elective subjects
2 x subjects of Work Integrated Learning, where you will work with an organisation in your industry for 600 hours and apply your knowledge to real business issues. (Students who have already worked, or who are currently working, within their industry of study may be eligible to receive Recognition of Prior Learning for these subjects. Refer to the Policy Library for more information.)
Delivery through a combination of small lectures, tutorials, workshops and industry research to cater for a range of learning styles.
Australian and New Zealand students may wish to accelerate their course and complete in 1.3 years.
The full-time 2-year course duration means international students are eligible for a two-year post-study work visa.*

Course Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, graduates will be able to:
Demonstrate mastery of essential management concepts, contemporary management issues and practices applicable to business operations.
Critically evaluate and respond to diverse contemporary, social, economic, political, technological, legal, ethical, environmental and cultural factors impacting organisations in the constantly evolving economy.
Communicate and negotiate effectively with diverse stakeholders using advanced oral and written communication skills, adeptly adjusting to varying contexts and digital channels.
Synthesise advanced data and information to develop evidence-based, innovative and sustainable solutions for business challenges.
Demonstrate a comprehensive grasp of ethical frameworks and principles relevant to sustainable management practices in diverse organisational contexts.
Critically reflect on and evaluate practices of cross-cultural teams and their personal management and leadership styles towards sustainable organisational success.
Enhance and apply research skills to address real-world industry challenges by employing appropriate methodologies, utilising advanced data analysis techniques and recognising the knowledge gaps.
Synthesise and apply advanced knowledge, observation and reflective practice to enhance organisational performance within professional work settings.

ICMS's own Postgraduate Requirements: Master's Degrees page. Applicants must meet one of: successful completion of a Bachelor degree from an Australian higher education institution or overseas equivalent with a minimum GPA of 3.0 (on a 5-point scale); OR a Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma with a minimum GPA of 3.0; OR at least two award or non-award postgraduate subjects (AQF Level 8+) with a minimum GPA of 3.0; OR an approved Postgraduate Qualifying Program with a minimum GPA of 3.0; OR, for mature-age entry (21+), a diploma or associate degree plus 4-5 years of relevant management experience (documented per the ICMS Admissions Guidebook).
