About this program
Cultivate an in-depth knowledge of software development and management, web design, internet fundamentals and database modelling. Your understanding of these core pillars of information technology will prepare you for a future-proof career in technical systems. Gain practical knowledge through internships, workshops and project-based assessments as you learn from expert academics and industry partners. Students who complete the Bachelor of Information Technology pass degree can apply to progress into this End-on Honours year, an additional 24 credit points of supervised research and coursework at JCU's College of Science and Engineering, subject to the College Dean's approval and any quota on honours places. Bachelor of Information Technology (Honours) [End-on] graduates finish with an AQF Level 8 honours qualification on top of their original degree, opening research and further-study pathways the pass degree alone does not.

Admissions
Applications must be approved by the Dean, College of Science and Engineering after recommendation of the Head of Academic Group. Must have obtained a minimum average grade of a Credit (GPA 5) for level 2 and 3 subjects. Completion of an AQF level 7 Bachelor Degree in Information Technology, from this or another university.
