About this program
Be equipped to improve your patients’ quality of life through targeted treatments that restore function or minimise dysfunction caused by illness, ageing, or injury. Examine key elements of human anatomy, systems and movement as you develop skills in physiotherapy practice and treatment. Engage in hands-on learning at the JCU Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Clinic at JCU Townsville, Bebegu Yumba campus, Douglas, and experience clinical placements in rural, regional and remote settings. Students who complete the Bachelor of Physiotherapy pass degree can apply to progress into this End-on Honours year, an additional 96 credit points of supervised research and coursework at JCU's College of Healthcare Sciences, subject to the College Dean's approval and any quota on honours places. Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) [End-on] graduates finish with an AQF Level 8 honours qualification on top of their original degree, opening research and further-study pathways the pass degree alone does not.

Admissions
A quota may be imposed on the number of students accepted for entry to the honours course depending on the availability of supervisors. Normally students will have obtained a GPA of 5 (Credit or better) for the subjects completed for levels 1 and 2 of the course. By invitation of the College Dean.
