About this program

The Bachelor of Health Information Management at La Trobe University combines the clinical and business sides of healthcare, using data to improve the quality of patient care. Students develop a comprehensive skill set covering anatomy and physiology, health classification, data analytics, health informatics and health systems management, and complete 55 days of supervised professional placement with health partners. Students learn the language of medicine, the structures and function of human anatomy and physiology, and how to implement and manage health information systems. Graduates work as health information managers, clinical coders and health data analysts.
