About this program
The Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours) at La Trobe University is an accredited degree that starts students on the path to a career as a pharmacist. Students build their understanding of how medicines treat disease and affect people's lives, and the importance of patient-centred, individualised care. They access an on-campus training pharmacy and participate in community and hospital placements, studying biochemistry, haematology and pharmacology and how systems of the body work. Graduates are eligible to apply for a one-year supervised internship and the Pharmacy Board of Australia exams before working in hospitals and community pharmacies.
