About this program
The Bachelor of Podiatry (Honours) at La Trobe University prepares students to help others maintain and improve their mobility and independence. It is the only podiatry program in Australia where graduates are qualified to prescribe scheduled medicines, enhancing their scope and impact in patient care. Students learn from experienced podiatrists and researchers in sports medicine, biomechanics, hospital-based podiatry, private practice, paediatrics and foot surgery, studying human anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, paediatrics and sport injuries. Broad clinical experience makes graduates job-ready for a workforce with strong demand for podiatrists across private practice, sports podiatry and public health.
