About this program
La Trobe's Graduate Certificate in Data Science Fundamentals is designed as a first step into data science, whether students already have some background in the field or are starting from scratch. The program builds skills in programming, database design and mathematics using real data sets from industry partners, taught through a flexible online learning platform.
Graduates are prepared to start a career in data science or transfer directly into the second semester of La Trobe's Master of Data Science.
