Graduate Certificate in Mathematics and Statistics

UNSW Sydney, Sydney, NSW, Australia

About this program

UNSW's Graduate Certificate in Mathematics and Statistics offers intensive, high-level training in mathematical sciences and statistics principles, building analytical skills and substantially broadening knowledge gained from prior mathematics and statistics study. The program equips students with the quantitative skills employers increasingly demand across data-driven industries, functioning as a genuine deepening of existing mathematical training rather than an introduction for complete beginners. It suits mathematics or statistics graduates who want to formalise and extend their existing quantitative skills for career purposes, or as a stepping stone toward the longer Graduate Diploma or master's-level mathematics and statistics qualifications. The short, focused format makes it a fast way to demonstrate advanced quantitative capability to employers without a full postgraduate degree commitment.
