Bachelor of Actuarial Science
Monash University, Melbourne, VIC, Australia
About this program
The Bachelor of Actuarial Science is a three-year degree taught on campus at Clayton with February and July intakes, training students to evaluate risk and opportunity in business and to provide professional actuarial advice in Australia and other countries. It develops strong quantitative skills across probability and statistics, financial mathematics, economics and risk modelling, applied to insurance, superannuation, banking, investment and beyond. The curriculum is designed to align with the professional accreditation pathway of the Actuaries Institute, so students can work toward exemptions from professional exams. Graduates work as actuarial analysts, risk and capital analysts, pricing and investment analysts, data scientists and consultants across insurance, wealth management, banking and government.
