Bachelor of Business Administration
Monash University, Melbourne, VIC, Australia
About this program
The Bachelor of Business Administration teaches how core business functions such as operations, marketing, finance and human resources are coordinated to keep an organisation running and achieve its broader goals, giving students a practical, operations-focused alternative to a more theory-heavy commerce degree. The course emphasises real-world case-based projects, collaborative learning and direct interaction with industry experts, aiming to produce job-ready graduates who understand how business decisions play out in practice rather than only in models. Students can specialise in more than one business discipline while completing the degree, and Monash keeps class sizes and staff-student interaction closer than in some larger business programs, which suits students who want more direct engagement with teaching staff. It's built for students heading into general management or operational roles across public and private-sector organisations, particularly those who want a hands-on, applied approach to business education rather than a highly theoretical one. Ethical and socially responsible decision-making is woven through the curriculum rather than taught as a standalone unit.
