Bachelor of Commerce
Monash University, Melbourne, VIC, Australia
About this program
The Bachelor of Commerce combines theoretical grounding with practical application across an area of commerce that students choose to specialise in, whether that's finance, marketing, management, economics or another business discipline offered through Monash Business School. The course places particular weight on quantitative analysis and problem-solving, training students to investigate complex organisational situations and develop solutions that hold up under scrutiny from business, government and not-for-profit stakeholders alike. Study-abroad programs and industry partnerships give students the chance to apply what they've learned in a different cultural or workplace context before graduating, building both cross-cultural competency and direct connections with professionals in their chosen field. Career outcomes span management consulting, financial analysis, marketing, international business and sustainability management, reflecting the breadth of specialisations available within the degree. It suits students who want a commerce qualification with real specialisation depth in one area, rather than the more general coverage offered by the Bachelor of Business, and who are drawn to roles that combine analytical rigour with organisational strategy.
