About this program
The Bachelor of Commerce Specialist follows the same Bachelor of Commerce curriculum and combines theoretical grounding with practical, quantitative problem-solving across a chosen area of commerce such as finance, marketing, management or economics, but is intended for students entering with stronger academic results who want a more focused specialist pathway from the outset. As with the standard Bachelor of Commerce, students investigate complex organisational problems and develop solutions relevant to business, government and not-for-profit contexts, supported by study-abroad programs and industry partnerships that provide hands-on experience and professional connections before graduation. Career paths span management consulting, financial analysis, marketing, international business and sustainability management. It suits high-achieving students who already have a clear sense of the commerce specialisation they want to pursue and are looking for a more selective entry cohort and pathway within Monash Business School, rather than the broader entry standard of the general Bachelor of Commerce.

Course structure
- You must complete units as specified in Parts A
- B
- C and D (144 credit points): including 96 credit points of study in Parts A
- B and C
- and 48 points of electives in Part D. In choosing your units
- you must ensure that you complete no more than 10 units (60 credit points) at level 1 and at least six units (36 credit points) at level 3
- including four units (24 credit points) at level 3 offered by the Faculty of Business and Economics. Units are 6 credit points unless otherwise specified. Part A.
