About this program
Monash's Bachelor of Health Sciences (Honours) is a one-year honours pathway for graduates of the Bachelor of Health Sciences or Bachelor of Public Health, with graduates from other disciplines with equivalent studies also potentially eligible for entry. Honours projects are primarily supervised by staff from Monash's School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine, though students can also identify projects with co-supervisors from partner organisations such as the Burnet Institute or the Baker Heart and Diabetes Institute, giving genuine exposure to leading health research institutions beyond the university itself. In keeping with the degree's global health focus, projects range from local and national to genuinely international in scope, reflecting the breadth of expertise across the School of Public Health and its partner organisations. Admissions
satisfied the requirements for completion of the Monash Bachelor of Health Sciences degree (M2014), or a three or four year Australian Bachelor degree in any discipline, or an overseas qualification assessed as equivalent to an Australian Bachelor degree undertaken and satisfactorily completed a minimum of six units at the highest level of the completed degree obtained an average of at least 70 per cent across all units at the highest level of the degree Note: Applicants with a bachelor degree completed more than five years ago need to provide evidence that they have kept their knowledge and skills in the field current through work, clinical practice, professional development, registration with professional body and/or other activities
