Bachelor of Paramedicine (Honours)
Monash University, Melbourne, VIC, Australia
About this program
Monash's Bachelor of Paramedicine (Honours) is a one-year honours add-on to the standard Bachelor of Paramedicine, open to graduates who completed the pass degree with a distinction average across their third-year units. Students design and carry out a supervised research project in an aspect of out-of-hospital clinical care, structured across a literature review, research proposal and final honours research report, giving them a genuine independent research credential on top of their clinical paramedic qualification. Because it builds directly on the standard Bachelor of Paramedicine rather than replacing it, this honours year suits graduates who performed strongly in their undergraduate paramedic training and want research experience before moving into clinical practice, further study or a research-adjacent role in emergency health. Graduates from Monash's Bachelor of Paramedic Studies or equivalent paramedic degrees from other universities can also apply, provided they meet the same academic standard.
