Master of Business Administration
Monash University, Melbourne, VIC, Australia
About this program
Monash's MBA trades on the school's triple accreditation status (AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA), a combination held by under 1% of business schools globally, which shapes how the program is positioned against other Australian MBAs that hold at most one or two of those. The full-time and flexible MBA options both build around leadership, strategy and finance core units, but the distinguishing feature is the consulting-project structure: students work live briefs for actual organisations in strategy, innovation and entrepreneurship, or big data, rather than case studies written for teaching purposes.
For students taking the more intensive Global Executive MBA variant, the program runs across four modules over about 18 months with international residential components delivered at partner business schools in Europe, Asia and the Americas, pairing classroom leadership content with in-market business consulting projects in sectors like advanced manufacturing and life sciences. That international delivery model is less common among Australian MBAs, most of which run entirely domestically.
The capstone combines an international business project with a strategy synthesis unit, which functions as the program's version of a thesis: a team-based, client-facing deliverable rather than an individually written dissertation.
