Master of Global Business

Monash University, Melbourne, VIC, Australia

About this program

The Master of Global Business looks at commercial decision-making through an explicitly international lens, covering the economic, political and social forces that shape cross-border business alongside the practical skills needed to operate in unfamiliar markets. Coursework works through geopolitics and business-government relations, trade governance, global supply chains, sustainability and cross-cultural communication, building on students' existing undergraduate credentials and work experience rather than starting from first principles. Students can opt into a semester at UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business through the Global Access Program, receiving a Berkeley Haas certificate alongside their Monash qualification, and the course can also serve as a pathway into higher-degree research for students who want to keep studying global business issues academically. It suits graduates from a cognate business or economics background who've already worked internationally, or want to, and are looking for a master's that treats global operating context as the central subject rather than an add-on unit. Entry requires a bachelor's degree with a major or minor in a related discipline at a high credit average.
