Master of Business Administration (Digital MBA)

Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane, QLD, Australia

About this program

QUT markets this specifically as a Digital MBA, and the distinguishing feature is real: the degree is delivered flexibly with a strong online component and folds digital transformation, data-driven decision making and technology strategy into what would otherwise be a fairly standard MBA core (strategy, finance, marketing, leadership). It's aimed squarely at working professionals rather than a full-time cohort straight out of undergrad. QUT's MBA intake skews toward people already in mid-career roles looking to move into more senior leadership or to pivot into a digitally-oriented function.

The core units cover the traditional MBA ground, but electives let students go deeper into areas like digital strategy, innovation management or data analytics for business, which is where the Digital branding earns its keep rather than being a marketing label over an unchanged program. Group-based case work and a capstone strategy project (often tied to a real organisation) are the assessment backbone in the later stages.

QUT Business School's connections to Brisbane's corporate and government sector feed guest speakers and capstone project partners, though as with most Australian MBAs the value is heavily networking-and-credential driven rather than purely content-driven.
