About this program
The degree runs 23 core subjects plus one elective over three years, building from biological and physiological foundations (Biological Foundations, Human Structure and Physiology 1 and 2, Human Biochemistry) into applied public-health and clinical-nutrition subjects: public health nutrition, nutrition assessment, disease prevention, exercise and sports nutrition, and a Food as Medicine subject.
An industry-led Special Populations Project, supported by an industry partner, gives students applied group-project experience, and a First Peoples Culture, History and Healthcare subject and Health Policy and Activism subject are built into the core. Students who don't meet the standard entry criteria can qualify via Language, Literacy and Numeracy testing at Australian Core Skills Framework exit level 3.
Delivered on campus at Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne and online, 3 years full time or approximately 6 years part time.

Admissions
Successful completion of at least 0.5 EFTSL at AQF level 5 or 0.25 EFTSL at AQF level 6 or above, or equivalent; OR an Australian secondary school certificate, equivalent Senior Secondary qualification, or Baccalaureate Diploma. Applicants who do not meet these criteria may qualify via LLN testing at ACSF exit level 3 in reading and numeracy.
