About this program
A one-year research honours year following a Bachelor of Health Sciences or a related degree at the University of Canberra. Students complete advanced research-methods coursework and a supervised honours thesis in an area of health science matched to a supervisor. Entry requires a completed bachelor's degree with a strong grade average in the relevant field. The honours result is classified, and a first or upper second class is the standard entry requirement for a PhD and for research scholarships. Admissions
A completed Bachelor degree in a Health discipline with a GPA of 5.0 or higher. Students need to have completed an undergraduate degree in any discipline (sports science - with preference given to those with an exercise or sports science degree) and those with a GPA of over 5.0. Additionally, students must demonstrate commitment from an appropriate staff member to act as their supervisor should their application for admission be successful.
