About this program
An accelerated 3.5-year degree in diagnostic radiography, six months shorter than the standard four-year qualification elsewhere. It is accredited through the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia, so graduates can apply for registration as a diagnostic radiographer and for membership of the Australian Society of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy.
Clinical training is four five-week placement blocks and two 13-week residencies across metropolitan, regional and rural hospitals and private practice, after simulation practice on campus. Entry is a selection rank of about 85 with assumed knowledge in biology, physics and mathematics, IELTS 7.0 in every band, and police, immunisation and first aid clearances. It suits school leavers who want the quickest accredited route into radiography.
