About this program

A four-year, 96 credit point degree that prepares graduates to assess and support people's participation in everyday activities across health, disability, education and aged care settings. Study covers occupational therapy theory and practice, anatomy, mental health and research methods, with competencies built through structured clinical blocks totalling around 1,000 hours of supervised fieldwork in hospitals, clinics, schools and community organisations.

The course is accredited by the Occupational Therapy Council of Australia and approved by the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia, so graduates are eligible to apply for registration as occupational therapists, and it meets World Federation of Occupational Therapists standards. High-achieving students can transfer into an honours stream. Graduates work in public, private and community services including rehabilitation, forensic and community health settings. It suits students committed to a registered allied health profession with strong hands-on placement content.
