About this program
A four-year degree fully accredited by the Australian Pharmacy Council, combining laboratory and clinical training. Students take repeated two-week placements in community and hospital pharmacies over the winter periods, plus shorter placements through the teaching semesters.
The degree makes graduates eligible for the supervised internship year that leads to registration as a pharmacist. Entry is a selection rank of about 75 with prerequisites in mathematical methods, chemistry or physics, and biology or human movement, and IELTS 7.0 with no band below 7.0. It suits students who want a clinical, patient-facing health career centred on medicines, clinical reasoning and medication management.
