About this program
The Graduate Certificate in Genomics and Health at the University of Melbourne was the first of its kind in Australia, giving clinical, health, education and research professionals the skills to apply genomics knowledge in practice and policy. Students complete a 50-point program introducing human genetics and its clinical and research applications, taught by research and education leaders from prestigious Melbourne hospitals and research institutes in a flexible, blended learning model.
Graduates build a pathway into genomics-related roles across healthcare, research and law, with access to organisations including the Parkville Children's Campus.

Admissions
To be considered for entry into this course, you must: Have completed a bachelor degree (AQF7) in a cognate (relevant) discipline with a weighted average mark (WAM) of 65%, or equivalent. Or Have completed a bachelor degree (AQF7) in any discipline with a weighted average mark (WAM) of 65%, or equivalent. And Have at least two years of documented relevant experience. Or Have six years of documented relevant experience. And Have completed below prerequisite subject(s): Biology to first year undergraduate level or equivalent with subject marks of at least 65%, and Genetics to second year undergraduate level or equivalent with subject marks of at least 65%. Cognate (relevant) disciplines include: Science, health sciences, social work, psychology, medicine, or equivalent.
