About this program
The Graduate Diploma in Property Valuation at the University of Melbourne develops skills in property valuation for graduates with a related degree in commerce, planning, business, building, law or engineering plus at least a year of relevant work experience. Students complete 100 points across eight core courses covering the fundamentals of property valuation, full-time over one year or part-time over two for domestic students.
Completion meets the valuation requirements of Certified Practising Valuer certification with the Australian Property Institute, subject to case-by-case assessment of prior studies. Melbourne is ranked first in Australia for graduate employability.

Admissions
To be considered for entry into this course, you must: Have completed a bachelor degree (AQF7) in a cognate (relevant) discipline with a weighted average mark (WAM) of 65%, or equivalent. Cognate (relevant) disciplines include: Commerce, business, planning, architecture, building, quantity surveying, law or engineering. And Have one year of documented relevant experience in the real estate/property sector.
