About this program
The Master of Economics at Melbourne Business School develops the theory, research and principles that drive markets, preparing students to evaluate policy and business decisions and predict future trends. Students complete 200 points over two years full-time, including four compulsory core subjects, eight electives, two quantitative subjects and a research report.

Admissions
To be considered for entry into this course, you must: Have completed a bachelor degree (AQF7) in a cognate (relevant) discipline. And Have completed the following prerequisite subject(s): Intermediate Microeconomics (ECON20002) with a score of 75%, or equivalent, Intermediate Macroeconomics (ECON20001) with a score of 75%, or equivalent, Econometrics 1 (ECOM20001) with a score of 75%, or equivalent, and Quantitative Methods 2 (ECON2003) with a score of 75%, or equivalent. Cognate (relevant) disciplines include: A strong analytical or mathematical component.
