About this program
The Master of Engineering Management at the University of Melbourne, co-developed with Melbourne Business School, combines engineering subjects with management subjects to develop technical problem-solving and the business skills needed to manage people, projects and resources. The one-year, full-time degree includes business case work and an Engineering Management Capstone building decision-making skills and best practice knowledge.
Graduates lead engineering projects and personnel across product development, manufacturing, construction, design and software engineering, moving into advanced roles spanning management, human resources, finance and quality assurance.

All students will complete the following Engineering Capstone Project
- Engineering Management Capstone
Students must select three electives from the below list

Admissions
To be considered for entry into this course, you must: Have completed a four year Bachelor of Engineering degree (AQF7) with a weighted average mark (WAM) of 65%, or equivalent. Or Have completed a bachelor degree (AQF7) in a cognate (relevant) discipline with a weighted average mark (WAM) of 65%, or equivalent. Cognate (relevant) disciplines include: Engineering or a related discipline in Engineering Management. And Have two years of documented relevant experience since graduation.
