About this program
The Master of Public Policy and Management at the University of Melbourne, the premier degree of its kind with over 30 years of teaching, develops high-level analytic skills that meet the demands of complex public policy-making. Students choose a 200-point, two-year program or a 150-point, 1.5-year program for graduates with relevant professional experience, using theoretical and analytical perspectives on governance, institutions and policy processes.
Graduates move into roles including senior policy and arts officer, policy and planning manager, government investment adviser, policy analyst and government communications adviser.

Admissions
Please note that part-time study is not available for international students. The Master of Public Policy and Management is a 200 point (2 years full-time) program, however if you have completed previous study or relevant work experience in this discipline, you may be eligible for entry to the 100 point program (1 year full-time option). To be considered for entry into the 100 point program, you must: Have a bachelor honours degree (AQF8) in a cognate (relevant) discipline, with a weighted average mark of at least 65%, or equivalent. Or Have a bachelor degree (AQF7) in a cognate (relevant) discipline, with a weighted average mark of at least 65%, or equivalent, and two years of documented, relevant work experience.
