About this program

The Bachelor of Coastal and Marine Science at the University of Newcastle has students learn from experts in marine, coastal and ecological fields, gaining practical skills to address issues such as climate change, pollution and urbanisation. Students engage with contemporary issues in the marine environment from day one, through skills-based courses and extensive fieldwork opportunities, developing an understanding of ecological, physical, conservation, societal and management issues.
