About this program
The University of Newcastle Master of Professional Accounting is a two-year conversion degree for graduates whose qualifications are in a field other than accounting, covering financial and management accounting, finance, taxation, business law and auditing. It is structured to satisfy the joint accreditation guidelines of CPA Australia and Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, so graduates can take up associate membership of CPA Australia and enrol in the CPA Program or the CA Program. Entry requires a bachelor degree in any discipline, or at least seven years of relevant organisational experience including two years in management, plus the University English proficiency requirement. Indicative international tuition is around A$42,600 per year. Graduates work in accounting, finance, tax and audit roles across commerce, professional practice and government.
