About this program
The Bachelor of Agribusiness at the University of Queensland trains students for business careers across Australia's agricultural export sector, covering the growing, processing, trading, marketing and financing of food and fibre products. Teaching uses UQ's own subtropical farmland, more than 1,000 hectares of agricultural facilities considered among the best in the Southern Hemisphere, and combines case studies, business simulations, guest lectures and industry projects with core courses in agribusiness planning and management, sustainable food supply chains and agricultural economics. The degree was developed in close collaboration with Australia's agricultural and business sectors, so the transferable business skills it builds are recognised well beyond farming specifically. Graduates typically move into roles such as agribusiness analyst, agribusiness banker, export trader or farm management consultant, either in Australia or in their home country's agricultural or agribusiness sector.
