About this program
UQ's Bachelor of Business Management gives students a broad foundation across economics, marketing, human resources, information systems and leadership, then lets them specialise with up to two majors from seven options. Core courses in introduction to management, accounting for decision making and transforming business with information systems are paired with electives such as a business industry consultancy project or placement, so students graduate with practical experience alongside theory. The degree is explicitly built around questions facing modern business, including how growth in digital technology, data and AI is changing customer needs, rather than treating those as add-on topics. An overseas exchange or global study experience is available for students who want an international dimension to their degree. Because the skill set is broad rather than specialist, graduates move into varied roles including business development manager, business analyst and project manager across the public, private and not-for-profit sectors.
