About this program
UQ Business School holds the "triple crown" of business accreditations (AACSB, EQUIS, AMBA), a distinction only a handful of Australian business schools carry, and the Bachelor of Commerce is the school's flagship undergraduate degree: majors span accounting, finance, economics, and business analytics through to more specialised options like actuarial studies, one of the few undergraduate actuarial programs in the country accredited toward the Actuaries Institute pathway.
The degree draws a genuinely large international cohort, which shapes the classroom experience in group project units especially, and UQ Business School runs its own careers and mentoring programs that connect students directly to Brisbane's finance and professional services sector as well as national graduate programs at the big four accounting firms and major banks. Students can combine the Commerce degree with another (law, engineering, IT) as a dual degree, a common path for students wanting a technical-plus-business skill set.
Class delivery mixes large first and second-year lectures with smaller major-specific seminars from third year, and a capstone consulting-style project unit in most majors gives students a real client brief to work through in their final semester rather than a purely theoretical assessment.

UQ's published recent domestic entry stats (Semester 1, 2027): lowest adjusted ATAR 82.25, median 91.8. The program page notes that international applicants are assessed on English proficiency rather than a separate ATAR figure.
