About this program

The Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) is a four-year degree at the St Lucia campus that prepares students to qualify and register as physiotherapists. It covers injury prevention, health promotion, clinical reasoning and diagnosis, therapeutic interventions, exercise prescription and optimising function, with techniques to reduce pain and restore movement across musculoskeletal, neurological and respiratory conditions. Students gain supervised clinical experience in hospitals, healthcare organisations, aged and community care, private practice and UQ's own physiotherapy clinics, and develop skills to educate and lead healthcare teams. Graduates work as physiotherapists in hospitals, private and sports practice, aged and community care, rehabilitation and research, in Australia and overseas.
