About this program
The Bachelor of Rehabilitation Studies (exit award only) is granted at the University of Queensland to students enrolled in either the Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours) or the Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) who complete 48 units drawn from years 1 to 3 of those programs but choose, or need, to leave before finishing the full honours qualification. Both parent degrees train students for allied health careers through more than 1,000 hours of supervised clinical practice across hospitals, schools and private practice, accredited by their respective national boards so that graduates can register with AHPRA. A student exiting with the Bachelor of Rehabilitation Studies keeps a recognised qualification covering the shared foundational coursework in anatomy, professional skills and client centred practice from either pathway, useful for allied health support roles or further study, but without the clinical placement hours or accreditation needed to register as an occupational therapist or physiotherapist.

Admissions
There is no direct entry pathway for this award. Students reach it only by first being admitted to and enrolling in UQ's Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours) or Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours), which require Queensland Year 12 General English and one of Biology, Chemistry or Physics (Units 3 and 4, C), with a minimum adjusted ATAR of 95.5 for occupational therapy in recent intakes.
