About this program
The Bachelor of Veterinary Technology is a three-year degree at UQ's Gatton campus that prepares students for careers as para-veterinary healthcare specialists in animal health and welfare. Students study basic sciences, animal handling and care, welfare and behaviour, applied and clinical nutrition, mechanisms of animal disease, diagnostic techniques, and the clinical aspects of small and large animal health, therapeutics, nursing and practice management, with practical training and electives in areas such as wildlife science.
