About this program

The Graduate Certificate in Animal Science is a half-year postgraduate program at UQ's St Lucia campus for recent graduates in any field and for professionals redirecting their career into animal science. Students select from more than 20 courses across genetics, breeding, nutrition, biosecurity, agronomy, agribusiness and human-wildlife interaction, along with business electives that build management ability. The program develops leadership, research and problem-solving skills aimed at the global challenges of feeding the world and maintaining the environment, and can lead into further study.
