About this program
UQ's Graduate Certificate in Business is an 8-unit, 6-month program for graduates from non-business backgrounds who want a fast, credible entry into management. Core study covers business analysis, accounting and finance fundamentals, and professional communication, taught by UQ's Business School, and the certificate stacks directly into the Master of Business Administration or Master of Business if you decide to keep studying. Courses combine lectures, tutorials and optional work placements rather than pure classroom theory. Because the program assumes no prior business training, it works well for career-changers moving from engineering, health, science or the arts into commercial roles such as digital marketing manager, campaign manager or change manager. UQ's Business School holds triple accreditation from AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA, a distinction only a small number of business schools worldwide carry, which gives the credential recognised standing with employers.

Admissions
To be eligible for entry, you'll need: a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in any discipline, or to have completed post-secondary studies, plus 5 years of full-time equivalent work experience, or 7 years of full-time equivalent work experience. You must have a grade point average (GPA) of 4.0 on a 7-point scale in your previous qualification. Applications on the basis of post-secondary study and/or work experience will be individually assessed.
