About this program

The Graduate Certificate in Commerce is a half-year postgraduate program at UQ's St Lucia campus that builds specialist knowledge in applied finance, professional accounting or information systems. Students complete three of the four foundation courses plus one further foundation or specialist course in their chosen field. It is often taken as a taste of postgraduate study before committing to the full master's, and credits toward the Master of Commerce. Graduates use it to move into senior management, finance and accounting roles.

Admissions

To be eligible for entry, you'll need: a bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in any discipline, or to have completed post-secondary study, plus 5 years of full-time equivalent work experience, or 7 years of full-time equivalent work experience. You must have a grade point average (GPA) of 4.0 on a 7-point scale in your previous qualification. Applications on the basis of post-secondary study and/or work experience will be individually assessed.
