Graduate Certificate in Computer Science
University of Queensland, Brisbane, QLD, Australia
About this program
The Graduate Certificate in Computer Science at the University of Queensland is designed for computing professionals who already hold a bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or a related field and want to update or deepen their technical knowledge. Students choose from a flexible range of computer science courses, including an advanced research project taught at master's level, covering topics such as algorithms and data structures, artificial intelligence, advanced security topics and machine learning. Teaching is delivered by a mix of internationally recognised academics, industry professionals and active researchers, and the program can be tailored to a student's specific industry or career goals rather than following one fixed pathway. It suits IT professionals looking to move into higher-demand specialisations such as data science or security rather than complete a full second degree. Typical graduate roles include data scientist, business analyst, digital analyst and big data architect.
