About this program

The Graduate Certificate in Interaction Design is a half-year postgraduate program at UQ's St Lucia campus for graduates from other fields who want to move into interaction and user experience design. Students develop in-depth technical skills and an understanding of the design process for interactive products that are usable, uncomplicated and human-centred. It can be a pathway into the Master of Interaction Design. Graduates work as interaction designers, UX and UI designers, and product designers across technology, government and consulting.

1 term of coursework

  • UQ calls subjects "courses" within this program. A sample of what you will study includes: Design Thinking, Digital Prototyping, Human-Computer Interaction, Social and Mobile Computing. The exact course list and any core versus elective structure depends on the specialisation and study plan you choose, and is confirmed in the program's official course list at enrolment
