About this program

The Bachelor of Property Economics at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) prepares students for careers in property, valuation, investment and development. Core subjects cover property valuation, corporate real estate management, urban economics, property accounting and financial management, and the urban planning and development process, with related study in construction, law and finance.
Students specialise through a sub-major or broaden their study with electives, and work on real Sydney projects such as Barangaroo and Green Square through UTS industry connections. Study takes three years full-time. English requirements are IELTS Academic 6.5 overall with 6.0 in writing.

Admissions

Applicants must have completed an Australian Year 12 qualification, Australian Qualifications Framework Diploma, or equivalent Australian or overseas qualification at the required level. UTS: Design, Architecture and Building may consider applications based on the results of the Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT) if students lack academic qualifications but have extensive professional experience. The STAT is conducted through Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER). Students who have completed a TAFE Diploma in one the following areas will receive five (5) adjustment points: Valuation/Property Services/Applied Commerce/Business/Conservation and Land Management. Assumed knowledge: Mathematics and any two units of English.
