About this program
The Master of Quantitative Finance at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) is a nine-subject technical degree covering probability and stochastic analysis, time series, optimisation and financial applications, Python programming for data processing, and AI-powered investment and risk management. It is taught in the UTS Faculty of Science alongside the mathematics and computing schools.
Entry requires a quantitative undergraduate degree or equivalent workplace experience. Study takes about 18 months full-time. Graduates work in quantitative analysis, risk modelling, algorithmic trading and financial data science roles in banks, funds and financial technology firms.

Admissions
Completed Australian bachelor's degree or higher qualification, or overseas equivalent, in mathematical sciences, mathematical finance, insurance and actuarial studies, or a related field of study with a substantial quantitative component for example, physics and astronomy, engineering and related technology, computer science, banking, finance, and economics and econometrics.
