About this program

If you are creatively or technically-minded and enjoy working with people, consider a career in prosthetics and orthotics. This program is the first and only program in Queensland that allows you to specialise in this area.

Prosthetists and orthotists work with people who have amputations, musculoskeletal weaknesses, or neurological conditions, throughout the varied process of treatment. This includes client assessment and care, intervention prescription, treatment planning, the design and manufacture of devices, and modifying devices for optimal outcomes.

Entry requirements Entry requirements For entry into most UniSC undergraduate degree programs, you need to have completed a minimum level of education similar to successful completion of Australian Year 12 with good grades. Further studies, for example, a semester or more at college or university, can also be considered for entry and may give you credit transfer towards a degree.
