Master of Professional Accounting
University of Western Australia, Perth, WA, Australia
About this program
The University of Western Australia's Master of Professional Accounting runs 1.5 to 2 years and is aimed squarely at graduates without an accounting background; applicants who already hold an accounting major are not eligible. Entry is a bachelor degree with a weighted average of at least 60 percent, or two years of relevant professional experience, or a UWA Graduate Certificate in Commerce, with IELTS 6.5 and no band below 6.0. The Accounting Practice specialisation satisfies the requirements of both Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and CPA Australia; an Accounting Research specialisation with a dissertation is also offered. Graduates work in audit, advisory, financial reporting, management accounting and corporate finance. Indicative international tuition is around A$52,700 per year.
