About this program
The Master of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Wollongong is designed for graduates with a background in mathematics and statistics, providing the opportunity to consolidate and expand existing knowledge while being equipped to apply mathematics in other disciplines such as computer science, business, science and psychology. Students develop skills in undertaking research on mathematical or statistical problems that arise in other disciplines, learn to communicate and synthesise complex information, and complete a research or coursework-focused capstone project. Graduates work as mathematicians, statisticians, data scientists and analysts.

Admissions
A bachelor's degree with an equivalent average mark of 50% with a major or minor in mathematics or statistics. If applying based on a mathematics or statistics minor, it must include a minimum of 12 credit points of mathematics or statistics subjects at the 200-level or higher.
