Bachelor of Actuarial Studies
UNSW Sydney, Sydney, NSW, Australia
About this program
The Bachelor of Actuarial Studies is a three-year degree from UNSW Business School that trains students to measure and manage financial risk for insurers, superannuation funds, banks, governments and consultancies. It is one of the most competitive business programs in Australia, taught by a large concentration of actuarial academics, and covers financial mathematics, probability and statistics, economics, contingencies and risk modelling. The program is delivered face to face at the Kensington campus with Term 1, 2 and 3 entry, and is accredited by the Actuaries Institute so students can gain exemptions from the professional exams. Internships and industry projects are built in. Graduates work as actuarial analysts, risk and capital analysts, data scientists, investment and pricing analysts, and in wider quantitative finance roles.
