Bachelor of Information Systems

UNSW Sydney, Sydney, NSW, Australia

About this program

UNSW's Bachelor of Information Systems trains students in the interaction between technology, people and processes needed to achieve business goals, spanning internal applications like enterprise networks and IT services through to external technology products and user experience. The degree includes an Integrated First Year alongside other business school students, building professional skills and organisational understanding before moving into core Information Systems content across design and development, organisational IS, data and information management, and technology and security. A work-integrated learning course lets students apply their skills in real workplace settings before graduating, and core study concludes with a capstone project synthesising learning across the whole degree. It suits students who want a genuinely 'business savvy' technology qualification, positioning graduates for careers in digital transformation, IT consulting, UX design, cybersecurity consulting or database administration, with an optional honours year available for high performers wanting deeper research training.
