About this program
The Diploma in Business at UNSW Sydney is a 12-month program that leads into a Commerce degree and a career in a business discipline or related area. Students complete eight business courses plus a communication and academic literacy course, and credit is granted toward the Bachelor of Commerce for each business course passed at the required level, all of which are equivalent to first-year UNSW courses. On successful completion of all nine courses students are awarded the Diploma and can move into the Bachelor of Commerce. The Economics and Information Systems streams are not currently available. Courses match first-year UNSW content and outcomes but are delivered at a slower pace with more face-to-face contact hours and additional support, helping students adjust to university learning through lectures, tutorials and problem-solving workshops. It is delivered at the UNSW Kensington campus in Sydney by UNSW College.
