Graduate Certificate in Business Analytics

UNSW Sydney, Sydney, NSW, Australia

About this program

UNSW's Graduate Certificate in Business Analytics gives students a foundational grounding in how organisations turn raw data into actionable business decisions, covering conceptual frameworks, modelling techniques, database management and the ethical questions data-driven decision-making raises. The four-course program is explicitly a pathway credential, designed so students who complete it at a minimum credit average can articulate directly into the Master of Commerce or Master of Commerce (Extension), with the two core and two elective courses matching the Business Analytics specialisation in those larger degrees. It suits professionals who want a fast, low-commitment way to test whether business analytics is the right specialisation before enrolling in a full master's, as well as those who simply want foundational analytics skills without pursuing further postgraduate study. Entry is accessible to non-quantitative graduates, requiring only a recognised undergraduate degree or five years of relevant work experience rather than a specific analytics background.
