Graduate Diploma in Design

UNSW Sydney, Sydney, NSW, Australia

About this program

UNSW's Graduate Diploma in Design runs one year full-time or two years part-time, building five core design courses covering design processes, practice and history alongside design communication and research, plus three electives chosen from specific design practice areas or other studio options. It suits people with an existing design background who want deeper professional development than a certificate provides, as well as career-changers wanting a more substantial design credential before deciding whether to commit to the full Master of Design. The mix of grounded core theory and flexible elective choice lets students shape the diploma toward their specific area of design interest, whether that's a particular practice area or a broader design and media career pivot.
